J. K. Rowling, la creadora del universo de ‘Harry Potter’ se mostró afectada por la separación del Reino Unido y dijo en su cuenta de Twitter “Creo que nunca antes había querido tener magia”.

Por su parte, Noel Gallagher, exmiembro de la banda Oasis, publicó en su cuenta de Instagram una imagen que reemplaza los colores azul y amarillo de la bandera de la Unión Europea por el negro y el blanco, y escribió el mensaje “Día negro”.

Sin embargo, no todos se han expresado todavía tras el triunfo, pero sí estaban muy divididos antes del referendo.

Por ejemplo, el pianista y cantante Elton John se pronunció 2 días antes de las votaciones en su cuenta de Instagram revelando que “votará para permanecer”, acompañado de una imagen que invitaba a “Construir puentes y no muros”.

David Beckham apeló a los recuerdos de su tiempo en el Manchester United, y dijo que, pese a que ese equipo fue muy bueno gracias a varios jugadores británicos, otros europeos como el danés Peter Schmeichel, el irlandés Roy Keane o el francés Eric Cantona también ayudaron a esa consolidación. Por eso, y por su experiencia en otros equipos europeos, votaría para permanecer.

Each side has the right to their opinion and that should always be respected whatever the outcome of the European Referendum. I played my best years at my boyhood club, Manchester United. I grew up with a core group of young British players that included Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville Brothers. Added to that was an experienced group of older British players such as Gary Pallister, Steve Bruce and Paul Ince. Now that team might have gone on to win trophies but we were a better and more successful team because of a Danish goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, the leadership of an Irishman Roy Keane and the skill of a Frenchman in Eric Cantona. Sin embargo, no todos los famosos británicos estaban a favor de la permanencia el Reino Unido en la Unión Europea. Por ejemplo, Mick Jagger, líder de los Rolling Stones, declaró en abril pasado que El Brexit, pese que puede ser difícil en un comienzo, podría favorecer al país en el largo plazo, como recuerda Daily Mail.

Otra estrella de rock como Roger Daltrey, vocalista de The Who, también dejó muy claro su deseo de que el Reino Unido se separara, al afirmar que “si huele a rata y parece una rata, seguramente sea una rata. Afrontémoslo: Europa huele”, cita Huffington Post.

Finalmente el Reino Unido se separará de la Unión Europea, y seguramente traerá importantes consecuencias. Solo el tiempo dirá si tenían razón los que votaron por la permanencia o por la separación.
